SHEPHERD’S HOUSE MINISTRY

Session has agreed that as our mission and outreach ministry for the coming years, Langley Presbyterian will focus on supporting the ministry and mission of Shepherd’s House. This year we would like to develop a more hands-on relationship between our congregation and this important work. To this end we are planning a trip to Shepherd’s House for March 17. So that transportation is not an issue (as many of us no longer drive after dark) we will arrange to pick you up at your home, drive you to Shepherd’s House and return you home at the end of the evening. If you would like to take advantage of this arrangement please put your name on the sign-up sheet at the back of the sanctuary. If you can help provide rides for others please put your name on the sign-up sheet and write “Driver” beside it.

PCC MISSION MOMENTS Welcoming the stranger

With support from Presbyterians Sharing, Jackie Bannerman is serving as a young adult intern in Budapest, Hungary with our long-standing partner, the Reformed Church in Hungary. Jackie is excited about helping the Kalunba Refugee ministry to build relationships with refugees in a safe environment. She teaches English lessons and helps with Kalunba’s website, providing English content to connect international readers. Jackie shares, “I hope to help create a sort of home, if only a temporary one, and provide a much needed sense of hope to people coming from fearful situations with uncertain futures.”Presbyterians Sharing supports refugee work
