PCC MISSION MOMENTS Hope for a healthy future in India

With support from Presbyterians Sharing, Michelle Verwey works as a community health advisor to the Church of North India’s Central Regional Board of Health Services. She advises on project monitoring, reporting and public health matters. Recently she visited a rural village in Madhya Pradesh, where she met eight-year-old Sarita. Sarita’s family received five fruit trees from the PWS&D-supported community health and self-reliance project. Michelle shares, “Malnutrition is very common in Madhya Pradesh. Many children, like Sarita, suffer from stunting – a result of chronic malnutrition. But this project gives me hope that I will be able to watch babies grow to be healthy children with bright prospects for their futures.” Presbyterians Sharing supports international mission staff
