PCC MISSION MOMENTS Administering change

Gifts to Presbyterians Sharing help administer the Avondbloem Fund, established by George and Evelyn van Beek in 1981. This legacy gift supports practical, creative PCC projects that spread the message of Christ. The Raw Carrot Soup Enterprise, a ministry of Paris Presbyterian Church, received a grant to help grow its innovative work. Staff members—who are on social assistance or living with barriers to traditional employment—prepare healthy, homemade soups and stews that are sold in the Paris community and beyond. Proceeds from the sales provide their salaries. Currently, eight people are employed—and two more Raw Carrots will be opening in the next year! This initiative builds self-confidence, provides job training and job creation—a living example of Christ’s message of love and hope.

Presbyterians Sharing supports dreams as they are turned into reality
