OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – Once again, we are helping to send filled shoeboxes to children around the world. You can participate in one of two ways – by filling your own box or by donating either by cheque or online. Boxes and brochure envelopes are available at the back of the church. There is also a display explaining how the money is used, what process Samaritan’s Purse uses in distributing your gifts and to which countries Canadian shoeboxes are being sent. Our collection date is Sunday, Nov. 12. Please note, the suggested donation per box is now $10. If you have any questions please see Debbie Margueratt.

PCC MISSION MOMENTS We have much to teach
Pray for the 20 congregations attending the Stewards By Design conference in Orillia, Ontario this week (November 9-12). Keynote speaker Dr. Kennon Callahan will inspire participants as they learn how to nurture faithful giving and abundant living, expand and strengthen their mission and ministry and make generous giving an ongoing, joyful experience. Dr. Callahan will work with each team to develop a concrete plan suited for their unique situation. A past conference participant shared, “What a tremendous event! The worship was truly inspiring, the fellowship was joyful and the prayers are uplifting. The conference sessions were a true blessing for us all. We learned much and now we have much to teach.” About half of the cost of Stewards By Design is funded by gifts to Presbyterians Sharing and undesignated bequests.
GLEN SODERHOLM, singer/songwriter from Guelph, Ontario, will be performing in the Chapel of the Epiphany, at VST, on Friday, November 17. Glen is an ordained Presbyterian minister, who is currently involved in a house church plant, and is serving the wider church musically (as well as sitting on the St. Andrew’s Hall Board). This (free!) concert will be a great way to move into Advent. All are welcome! The concert is sponsored by VST, St. Andrew’s Hall, and University Hill Congregation.
