OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – Once again, we are helping to send filled shoeboxes to children around the world. You can participate in one of two ways – by filling your own box or by donating either by cheque or online.  Boxes and brochure envelopes are available at the back of the church. There is also a display explaining how the money is used, what process Samaritan’s Purse uses in distributing your gifts and to which countries Canadian shoeboxes are being sent.  Our collection date is Sunday Nov. 12. Please note, the suggested donation per box is now $10. If you have any questions please see Debbie Margueratt.

PCC MISSION MOMENTS Take the Advent Challenge!

During the Advent season, we celebrate God’s amazing gift— Jesus! This gift changed the world. Inspired by God’s overwhelming generosity, we too work to make a difference for our sisters and brothers across the globe. Each week of Advent, Presbyterian World Service & Development challenges individuals and congregations to share the gifts of hope, peace, joy and love with those living in some of the most vulnerable communities in the world. In the midst of poverty, injustice and disaster, the Christ light shines. To help create bright futures through the Advent Challenge, visit

GLEN SODERHOLM, singer/songwriter from Guelph, Ontario, will be performing in the Chapel of the Epiphany, at VST, on Friday, November 17.  Glen is an ordained Presbyterian minister, who is currently involved in a house church plant, and is serving the wider church musically (as well as sitting on the St. Andrew’s Hall Board).  This (free!) concert will be a great way to move into Advent.  All are welcome! The concert is sponsored by VST, St. Andrew’s Hall, and University Hill Congregation.
