LPC is hosting an evening of exploration for people who are affiliated with our congregation but who do not find attending Sunday worship possible or perhaps meaningful. The intent of our evening is to help these people explore possible ways of forming an alternative community that would help them to grow in their discipleship to Jesus.
To make this evening a success we need the following helpers:
– Two adult nursery helpers
– One or more people who will prepare and lead the older children in a craft time and perhaps some outdoor activities
– Two people to set up the hall for a buffet style meal
– Two or more people to cook a spaghetti dinner with two sauces (one veg. one meat), garlic bread, Cesar salad and a dessert
– Two or more people to help clean up after the event
– Musicians & their instruments
Date & Time: May 11, 2019 – meet & greet at 4:30 PM, dinner at 5:00 PM
Place: Langley Presbyterian Church Hall
Sign up sheet: In rear of sanctuary

Creating community for new Canadians
Life in Christ Ministry provides support and assistance for Arabic and Farsi speaking refugees living in the Greater Toronto Area. Each year, the ministry offers a New Beginnings Training Program that provides practical workshops aimed at helping refugees adapt to local Canadian communities, including learning English and developing other life skills. By offering games and activities for children at the same time as adult workshops, the program responds to the need for parents to attend programs with their children. In addition, the program provides meaningful job opportunities for students and volunteers.

With a catastrophic storm on its way, Noah is given a monumental task: build a boat big enough to save mankind from a flood that will cover the entire earth.  Seen by more than 5 million people live on stage, Sight & Sound’s landmark production sets sail into movie theaters this April for a special nationwide event. Filmed in front of a live audience, NOAH takes you on history’s best-known voyage as you board the enormous ark—along with two of every kind of animal!
Gather with people across the country as this extraordinary Bible story comes to life on the big screen, for three days only, April 14, 20 and 22.
