The Call to Worship:                                                                   Psalm 27
L: The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?
P: The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?
L: When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.
P: Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
All: One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.

Hymn: Spirit of the living God                                               #400
1. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Melt me, mould me, fill me, use me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me!

2. Spirit of the living God, move among us all;
Make us one in heart and mind; make us one in love:
Humble, caring, selfless, sharing.
Spirit of the living God, fill our lives with love!

Hymn: Glory be to God the Father                                    #298
1. Glory be to God the Father,
glory be to God the Son,
glory be to God the Spirit,
great I AM, the Three-in-One:
glory, glory,
glory, glory,
while eternal ages run!

2. Glory be to him who loved us,
washed us from each sin and stain;
glory to the One who bought us,
raised us up to serve and reign.
glory, glory,
glory, glory,
to the Lamb that once was slain!

3. “Glory, blessing, praise eternal!”
Angel choirs their hymns prolong;
“Honour, riches, power, dominion!”
Echos all creation’s song.
glory, glory,
glory, glory,
praises to our God belong.

Doxology & Dedication

 The Prayer of the People & The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors;
and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
Forever and ever. Amen

Hymn: I am the light of the world
I am the Light of the World
You people come and follow me.
If you follow and love, You’ll learn the mystery
Of what you were meant to do and be.

1.When the song of the angels is stilled.
When the star in the sky is gone.
When the kings and the shepherds have found their way home.
The work of Christmas is begun!

2.To find the lost and lonely one,
To heal that broken soul with love,
To feed the hungry children with warmth and good food,
To feel the earth below the sky above!

3.To free the prisoner from his chains,
To make the powerful care,
To rebuild the nations with strength and goodwill,
To call a man your brother everywhere.

4.To bring hope to every task you do,
To dance at a baby’s new birth,
To make music in an old man’s heart,
And sing to the colors of the earth!

 Choral Amen:

May the Lord, mighty Lord, Bless and keep us forever.
Grant us peace, perfect, peace, Courage in every endeavour.
Open your eyes and see his face, Know his grace forever.
May the Lord, mighty Lord, Bless and keep us forever.
