The Call to Worship: Psalm 95:1-7
L: O come, let us sing to the Lord;
P: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
L: Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
P: let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
L: For the Lord is a great God
P: and a great King above all gods.
L: In his hand are the depths of the earth;
P: the heights of the mountains are his also.
L: The sea is his, for he made it,
P: and the dry land, which his hands have formed.
L: O come, let us worship and bow down;
P: let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
L: For he is our God,
P: and we are the people of his pasture
ALL: and the sheep of his hand.

their voices in hymns of praise: May Jesus Christ be praised!
3. Let earth’s wide circle round in joyful notes resound:
May Jesus Christ be praised! Let air and sea and sky from depth to height reply: May Jesus Christ be praised!
4. Be this, when day is past, of all our thoughts the last: May Jesus Christ be praised! The night becomes as day when from the heart we say: May Jesus Christ be praised!
5. Then let us join to sing to Christ, our loving King: May Jesus Christ be praised! Be this the eternal song through all the ages long: May Jesus Christ be praised!

 Communion Hymn: When I survey the wonderous cross #231

Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the Holy Catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

 The Sacrament of Holy Communion

Communion Hymn: To God be the Glory! Great things He has done #350
1. To God be the glory! great things he hath done!
So loved he the world that he gave us his Son,
Who yielded his life an atonement for sin,
And opened the lifegate that all may go in.
Refrain:
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear his voice:
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice.
2. O come to the Father through Jesus the Son,
And give him the glory; great things he hath done!
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood
To every believer the promise of God,
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives!
Refrain
3. Great things he hath taught us
Great things he hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer and higher and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see!
Refrain

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
Forever and ever. Amen

Hymn: “’Follow me’” the Master said                                #645
1. ‘Follow me,’ the Master said: we will follow Jesus.
By his word and Spirit led, we will follow Jesus.
Still for us he lives to plead, at the throne will intercede, offers help in time of need; we will follow Jesus.
2. Should the world and sin oppose, we will follow Jesus.
He is greater than our foes; we will follow Jesus. On his promise we depend; he will hear us and defend, help and keep us to the end; we will follow Jesus.
3. Though the way may dark appear, we will follow Jesus.
He will make our pathway clear; we will follow Jesus.
In our daily round of care, as we plead with God in prayer,
with the cross which we must bear, we will follow Jesus.
4. Ever keep that end in view; we will follow Jesus.
All his promises are true; we will follow Jesus.
When this earthly course is run, and the Master says, ‘Well done!’ life eternal we have won; we will follow Jesus.

 Choral Amen:

MAY THE LORD, MIGHTY LORD
May the Lord, mighty Lord, Bless and keep us forever.
Grant us peace, perfect, peace, Courage in every endeavour.
Open your eyes and see his face, Know his grace forever.
May the Lord, mighty Lord, Bless and keep us forever.
