Welcome & Announcements

The Call to Worship:
My heart is steadfast O God.
We will sing and make music with our soul.
Awake, harp and lyre!
We will awaken the dawn.
I will praise You, Lord, among the nations;
We will sing of You among the peoples.
For great is Your love, higher than the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
Let Your glory be over all the earth.
O give thanks to the LORD, for the LORD is good;
God’s steadfast love endures forever.

Hymn: The Steadfast Love of the Lord                                        #20

Prayer of Adoration & Confession
Holy God, Your power fills the universe with light and love. Your tender hand embraces those who are suffering and wounded. You welcome strangers and care for the lonely.

We are awed by the amazing magnitude of Your compassion. You welcome each of us and guide us to our eternal Promised Land through Christ. Our guide and our protector, as we gather today in Your holy house, meet us where we are. Speak to us in ways that we understand. Come to us, O God, in our time of worship.

Our Redeemer and Lord Jesus, renew and refresh us with Your gentle and selfless Spirit. We confess that we prefer our old lives; we nurture grudges, and we are reluctant to welcome or forgive one another. In Your loving kindness, have mercy upon us and move among us so that we might live together with grace. And now as we confess our weaknesses and failures in our silent prayer, forgive our sins.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
