Langley Presbyterian Church Announcements

Hummingbird Ministries – We will be collecting special offerings for Hummingbird Ministries on November 12th. The Hummingbird Christmas Party will be held on December 2nd. Hummingbird Ministries is a Ministry of the Presbytery of Westminster, and its Director, Rev. Mary Fontaine, is the Moderator of the PCC. Hummingbird Ministries’ mission is to promote healing for Indigenous people and healing for the broken relationship between the Church and Canadians.

 Food Bank Donations – The wheelbarrow for food donations is at the back of the Sanctuary. We are collecting non-perishable food items for local families in need. Norma Leith has kindly volunteered to deliver your donations to the Langley Food Bank.

We Couldn’t do it Without You! Thank you so much, volunteers, for your assistance. We appreciate our volunteers’ efforts in helping to make Sunday Service successful! Our thanks to Lynda & Norm, Marlene, Jim L., and Brent.

Celebration of Life – October 22nd – A Celebration of Life in memory of Ulric Ashley will be held at Fernridge Hall from 2-4 p.m. today (Sunday, Oct 22nd).  Arlene invites all their church family and friends to come if able. Some of Ulric’s friends from Barbershop will be singing! The Hall address is: 2389 – 200th St. (SW corner of 200th St. & 24th Ave. in Langley)

Langley Presbyterian Church Announcements

Guest Speaker – On Sunday, October 29th, we will have a guest speaker, Karen Plater, from the National Office of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Karen is the Associate Secretary in the Stewardship department. After service, we will have a Q & A session about Legacy gifts in the lower hall during our refreshments. She will share different ways to make a legacy gift, including Wills, Gifts of Securities, Annuities, Life Beneficiary Gifts, etc.

Bible Study Class – Just a reminder: We have bible study class on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. The classes are held downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.

Bible Study Class – The class will be held in the lower Hall on Wednesday mornings at 11 a.m. If you missed the first two classes, you are still welcome to join us!

BC Synod – The BC Synod will be held from Oct 13th – 15th at Calvin Presbyterian Church at 33911 Hazelwood Ave, Abbotsford.
