Langley Presbyterian Church Announcements

Please Note: Heavenly Worship Centre is now renting our church every Sunday evening for their church services. Toward that end, we are going to have to share our fridge space. So going forward, we will use the top shelf of the refrigerator, and Heavenly Worship Center will use the second shelf.

 LPC Mailboxes – Please check your mailboxes regularly. Some mailboxes have been moved to make space for new members’ mailboxes.

Bible Study Reminder – We have had our first bible study class on the Introduction of the Old Testament, but it is not too late to join us! If you wish to participate, the next bible study class is on Thursday, February 1st at 10:30 am. The class will be once a week until February 29th.

Offering Envelopes Reminder – This year’s offering envelopes are available to be picked up if you haven’t already.

Food Bank Donations – The wheelbarrow for food donations is at the back of the Sanctuary. We are collecting non-perishable food items for local families in need. Norma Leith has kindly volunteered to deliver your donations to the Langley Food Bank.

 Bible Study Reminder – We will resume Bible study on Thursday, Jan 25th at 10:30 am. It’s a 6-week Bible study (until Feb 29) on the Introduction to the Old Testament.

Bible Reading Challenge – Please help yourself to a bible reading progress chart, located on the table at the back of the Sanctuary. The instructions are in the handout. At the end of the year, there will be a prize awarded to the individuals who have completed the chart.

Men’s Breakfast – The men’s breakfast scheduled for January 20th at Ricky’s Restaurant in Murrayville, has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

Food Bank Donations – The wheelbarrow for food donations is at the back of the Sanctuary. We are collecting non-perishable food items for local families in need. Norma Leith has kindly volunteered to deliver your donations to the Langley Food Bank.

Bible Reading Challenge – Please help yourself to a bible reading progress chart, located on the table at the back of the Sanctuary. The instructions are in the handout. At the end of the year, there will be a prize awarded to the individuals who have completed the chart.

 Clean-Up Volunteers Needed – The property team is having a cleanup day on Saturday, January 13th, from 9-12:00. The purpose is to make room in our hall for potential renters: Nursery, Sunday school, kitchen, small office, and storage area.

Men’s Breakfast – The next men’s breakfast will be on January 20th at Ricky’s Restaurant in Murrayville.

Elders’ Service Dec. 31st – The body of Christ is charged with honouring those who bring forth the Word of God and lead the church (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, 1 Peter 2:17, 1 Peter 5:5, Hebrews 13:17). A warm “Thank you” to our church elders for leading the Dec. 31st service.
