Langley Presbyterian Church Announcements

April 3rd – Men’s Bible Study – Start time is at 10 a.m. Classes will be held at the back of the Sanctuary.

April 6th – The Celebration of Life Service for David Radbourne will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 11 a.m. Refreshments will be served in the Hall after service.

April 7th, 14th, and 21stThere will be membership classes. If anyone is interested in becoming a member of LPC, please let your elder or Rev. Lydia know.

April 11th – Everyone is welcome to join this bible study group. Start time is 10:30 a.m., next to the LPC Library.

LPC Library Reconfiguration – As you may have noticed, the LPC Library has been reconfigured into a “box” shape, to accommodate space needed for Bible Study groups meeting in the area next to the library.  Someone will be there to assist before and after services to help you find what you’re looking for.  Also note that the Youth Library is now in the corner next to the Children’s books (full Children’s Library is downstairs in the Sunday School room).  Feel free to check out books from ANY of the 3 LPC Library collections. ~Marianne Lazaro, LPC Librarian

March 28th – Our Maundy Thursday potluck dinner and Communion will start at 6 p.m., followed by a Tenebrae Service. We are still in need of a few more volunteers for the potluck dinner, scripture readings, and communion.

 March 29th – LPC will not have a Good Friday Service, however, you are encouraged to join the Good Friday Combined Service at Calvin PC at 10:30 a.m.

 March 31stEaster Service – Please invite your family and friends for this very special day.

Backyard Clean-up – Thank you to our members who came out to help with the backyard clean-up on Friday, it looks great! We will be meeting again Saturday, March 23rd, from 9-12, to finish the work, anyone is welcome to come and help.

Volunteers Needed – Tenebrae Service March 28th – Thank you to those who have signed up. We are still in need of 11 volunteer scripture readers for the Tenebrae Service. If you would like to volunteer, you will find the sign-up sheet on the back table.

Volunteers Needed – Maundy Thursday Potluck March 28th We currently have several spaces available. If you would like to contribute your favorite recipe or some of your time, please register. You’ll find the sign-up sheet in the white binder on the back table.

Bible Study Starting April 11th – Everyone is welcome to join this bible study group. The first class will be on April 11th and begin at 10:30, Eleanor Mills will be guiding the bible study lessons. If you need further information, please contact Betty Bankes or the LPC office.

Langley Presbyterian Church Announcements

Save the Date: Celebration of Life Service for David Radbourne will be held on Saturday, April 6th at church. The more detailed information will be available near the date.

Rev. Lydia Bae will be in Borden, Ontario for her Military Chaplain duty.  For the next two Sundays, Rev. Robin Ross will provide pulpit supplies. If you have any pastoral care needs while Lydia is away, let your elder know. Rev. Thomas Kim is also available to provide any emergency pastoral care matters.

A big heartfelt thank you to our members who have generously donated the funds for the TVs we now use for our Sunday services. We were and continue to be humbled by your generosity.
