Brief Encounters & Conversations After the Resurrection

“Jesus said to her, ‘Mary.’ She turned and cried out, ‘Rabboni!’” — John 20:16

In the quiet moments after the resurrection, Jesus meets His followers in deeply personal ways. In John 20:11–18, He speaks Mary’s name in her grief, and everything changes—sorrow gives way to recognition, and loss turns to hope. In John 21:15–19, He meets Peter in a moment of honest conversation, gently restoring him and calling him forward in love and purpose.

These brief encounters remind us that the risen Christ still meets us personally—calling us by name, restoring what is broken, and inviting us to follow Him.

“‘Follow me.’” — John 21:19

Even in the ordinary and uncertain moments of life, Jesus is present—speaking, restoring, and leading us forward. May we listen for His voice and respond with open hearts.

Worship with us online or in person as we reflect on the ways Jesus meets us and calls us into renewed life through Him.
