VST Sunday

We are honoured to welcome Rev. Arthur Surjadi Lin, a former VST student, who will be offering the sermon “From Darkness to Light” and representing Vancouver School of Theology (VST) at our service on the last Sunday of January.

If you’ve ever wondered about studying theology or felt a calling to ministry, this is a wonderful opportunity to ask questions and learn more. Everyone is warmly invited to join us as we worship, reflect on God’s Word, and celebrate His guidance from darkness into light.

About Rev. Arthur Surjadi:

Rev. Arthur Surjadi is originally from Indonesia and currently lives in Burnaby with his wife and children. One of their children is presently completing studies in Indonesia.

He is a graduate of the Vancouver School of Theology and was ordained sixteen years ago at Faith Presbyterian Church in Indonesia. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, he interviewed with the Education & Reception (E&R) Committee of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

Although he was not immediately placed in a Presbyterian congregation, Rev. Surjadi continued to discern and live out his pastoral calling through chaplaincy ministry in a senior care home in Vancouver, where he continues to serve. This ministry has shaped his commitment to pastoral care, spiritual accompaniment, and faithful biblical teaching.

Through the VST Sunday connection, Rev. Surjadi is grateful for the opportunity to worship with the congregation of Langley Presbyterian Church.

Service begins at 10 AM.
