In Matthew 15:21–28, we meet a Canaanite woman who comes to Jesus with a desperate request for her daughter. What follows is a difficult conversation, a surprising response, and ultimately Jesus’ recognition of her remarkable faith.

In this service, we reflect on what Jesus saw in this woman’s faith and what her story might teach us about our own faith when we are waiting, struggling, or seeking God’s help.
